About Me

I never imagined I’d be sharing my story with the world. For most of my life, I was taught to stay quiet and keep family matters private. But I’ve learned that our stories have the power to heal not just ourselves, but others walking similar paths.

The first 19 years of my life were spent navigating family challenges that taught me resilience in ways I never expected. At 19, I made the difficult decision to go no contact with my mother, a choice that opened the door to 13 years of healing, growth, and discovering who I was meant to be.

Today, I’m a wife, mother of two, and bestselling author. I broke the cycles that once defined my family, and now I help others do the same.

My debut memoir, I Was Once the Girl in the Red House, chronicles my journey from trauma to triumph not as a victim, but as a survivor who chose to rewrite her story. It’s for anyone who has ever felt trapped by their circumstances, wondering if escape and healing are possible.

Through my writing and my podcast, Exhausted Moms, I create space for honest conversations about family challenges, motherhood, and the sometimes difficult work of creating healthier patterns for the next generation.

I believe that sharing our experiences can help others feel less alone. That healing is possible, even when it feels impossible. And that sometimes, the most loving thing we can do is choose to break cycles that no longer serve us.
